Uvita, Costa Rica.
There is magical place inside the National Park Marino Ballena, that if you get the chance to see it from above, the low tide reveals a perfect Whales Tail shape, this is the same place where every year the whales cruise and hang out to mate in the Pacific’s warm waters. Two great reasons to call it: The Whales Tail.
You can easily get to the Whale’s Tail by going into the National Park and walking towards the Tail while your Hawaiian shirt flaps with the wind blowing in your face.
…Or you can make your own adventure trip and earn those Instagram likes you are going to get.
Let us take you to the Whale’s Tail by kayak! Why?
hYou take “getting there” to another level, to paddle towards an amazing objective makes the goal line more exciting, while you enjoy the ride you will see the Tail get closer and closer and paddling towards it will for sure give you another perspective of this wild National Park.
We will ask you about the start line – do you like it flat or wavy? When we get to the water there are many places we can start paddling – Punta Uvita or Uvita Point has different conditions that suits everybody’s preferences for kayaking. You can start in the flat part of the cove or try some waves by passing the break on your way out to open sea.
Then you will be in flat waters paddling at your own speed and enjoying the majestic ocean view.
You won’t feel like blinking on this adventure, as the odds of paddling along in the company of sea turtles, curious dolphins and even Uvita’s stars, the H, are very high.
Then the Whale’s Tail starts looking bigger at every stroke of the oar, it is time to let your experienced guide throw the anchor and pass you the snorkelling equipment.
The Tail is surrounded by a whole underwater world that awaits quietly and calmly for you to visit, and enjoy its crystal clear waters. Just go for it, bring your waterproof camera, capture everything, take a few selfies under water just for fun, and enjoy exploring this whole new world you’re immersed in.
Then you are ready to enjoy the two beaches (one in front to the other) that the Whale’s Tail offers for you to spend the day on. You can just relax and sunbathe or have a picnic and wait for the sunset at this mind-blowing spot.
